Hudson Chorale

Greetings, Music Lovers

Hello to all our extended family of music lovers, wherever you are. We wish you health and happiness and music. For our current season (2023-2024), the chorus is trying a slightly different approach. We are experimenting with a trimester schedule of programs, with the goal of singing a more diverse mix of music. We have recently performed our December 2023 concert and are looking forward to two more in 2024, to be held March and June.

Singing through Time is the title of our March 23 and 24 concert, and we are very much enjoying the very different styles of the eight different pieces that we will perform during these matinee concerts to be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Pleasantville, NY. Hudson Chorale, like many arts organizations, experienced upheaval, uncertainty and head-spinning change over the course of the pandemic. We discovered and invested in new and exciting technologies that enable us to be together and to reach our audience, and there is no going back. We are pleased to offer access to our recorded performances via our YouTube channel.

  • We joyfully heralded the Season with our recent December 2023 concert held at Maryknoll Chapel in Ossining, performing Händel’s Messiah (Part I), Ballad of the Brown King by Margaret Bonds and Behold a Star from Jacob Shining by Felix Mendelssohn. Our recorded audio of this fabulous concert is now posted!
  • We completed our Spring 2023 program entitled Music For Humanity, which featured Johannes Brahms’ Requiem in German. The recorded concert can be viewed through our YouTube channel, here.
